Welcome to my new blog. I had a previous one, Quoth the Raven, which I let attrit as I got busy finishing my degree.
I want to do a better job of focusing on what’s important and letting go of what’s not, so that means I’ll be writing in a more disciplined way than previously. I’ve also moved here, since WordPress has category tags–I decided to stop lying to myself that I’d ever get it together to figure out how to hack categories in Blogger.
The name, “Zoöinformatic” is, as far as I know, my own neologism. It reflects not only my primary research focus in zoology/comparative anatomy and informatics (information science), but also what I’m most interested in in the everyday world–how we gather, organize, evaluate, and share information in and about life.
